Judo Valdinievole at the Macaluso Trophy and the Champion
The judo “18th A. Macaluso Trophy” took place on Saturday 11 May in Incisa Valdarno.
A national level competition which saw the participation of 43 judo teams from all over Italy. The Montecatino Judo Valdinievole team obtained a prestigious result, finishing in 6th place in the general ranking.
These are the results of the Montecatino judokas: Degli Innocenti Luca – 5th place coach. Senior up to Kg. 81Biondi Alessio – 1st place coach. Cadets up to Kg. – 55Vitiello Michele – 1st place ctg. Beginners A up to Kg. 50Barabesi Brando – 1st place coach. Beginners B up to Kg. 42Vitiello Francesca – 1st place coach. Female B rookies up to 48 kg. We remind you that Judo Valdinievole Montecatini trains at the My Club gym in via Mimbelli, 21 in Pieve a Nievole.
At the 2nd “Trofeo Champion Judo Pisa” (Sunday 19 May), Judo Valdinievole Montecatini reached the podium this time as a team. There were eight athletes participating in various categories and 7 won first place and one second, bringing points to the team that finished in second place.
The athletes were: Vitiello Francesca, Vitiello Michele, Barabesi Brando, Pasquale Campestre, Conti Thiago, Toccafondo Brian, Tonini Marcello, Tosti Mattia.
