An update on the standings after the first round

In recurve bow,

Surprise among women! This first D1 round failed the Arcis-sur-Aube club, title holder in 2023 which is currently 14th ahead of the red lantern Belfort Savoureuse and Carquefou, both at 0 points. At the head of this ranking, we find Nimes who takes 1st place against Brignais despite a tie on points. CompiègnHe secures and takes 3rd place ahead of the host club of this first round, Riom.

For both men and women, it is the club of Nimes who wins with 7 points, taking the lead in front Compiègne, Rennes et Clermont-Ferrandrespectively at 6 points.

In compound bow,

On the women’s side, everything was possible since the French Champions from last season were not present this year. It is St Martin de Crau who won thanks to their six victories out of the seven matches played. St-Avertin takes 2nd place with 5 points and Neuilly-sur-Marne finds himself 3rd ahead of Ruelle, tied on points.

As for men, Rennes et St Martin de Crau close behind with 6 points and a score of 1,619 and 1,615. This 1st place was a close call and heralds a great battle for the future. Rueil-Malmaisondefending champion, ranks in 3rd position with his 5 points but intends to pick up points for the rest of the D1 championship.

The Riom field was therefore successful for the teams who achieved big scores and hit the bull’s eye more than once.

Individual results

On Saturday the individual matches were played. The archers also performed feats. Victoria Sebastian (Nîmes) in gold, Amélie Cordeau (Annemasse) in silver and Louise Botte (Brienon-sur-Armançon) in bronze climbed onto the podium in Riom in recurve bow.

A tighter 1st place among the men with a high-flying final between Thomas Chirault (Clermont-Ferrand) and Jonathan Vetter (Rennes) who are decided thanks to a barrage which finally succeeds to Clermontois. Florian Bossard (Issy-les-Moulineaux) takes 3rd place after its victory against Romain Fichet (6-4).

In compound bow, Sophie Dodémont (Sarcelles) wins the competition against his opponent Lucie Jeannin (Rouvres en Multien) who did not do poorly, taking 2nd place on the podium with a score of 146 to 142. Léa Girault (Compiègne) performs again and manages to win the bronze medal in a very close final against Tiphaine Renaudin (Mont St-Aignan). Final score 143 to 142.

At men’s, Nicolas Girard (St-Martin de Crau) won gold after an almost perfect run with a 1/8, 1/4 and a final at 150 points. Quentin Baraer (Rennes), meanwhile, took the silver medal. On the third step, Antonin Gardeur (Ruelle) won his small final against Jean-Philippe Boulch (Rueil Malmaison) after a barrage.
