Feyenoord will extend Ilias Sebaoui’s contract for a season, 1908.nl reported on Wednesday morning. The Rotterdammers were very concerned about this, as various Eredivisie clubs were ‘concretely interested in the signature’ of the 22-year-old winger. Due to his impending contract extension, Sebaoui will be fixed at De Kuip until mid-2026.

Sebaoui is having an excellent season on loan at FC Dordrecht, which is in fourth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. The Antwerp-born youth international from Morocco has already played 36 official matches on behalf of the Schapehoofd. He scored ten goals and seven assists.

According to Transfermarkt, Sebaoui is now worth 500,000 euros. Feyenoord took him over on a free transfer last summer from the Belgian Beerschot, which can earn a modest percentage on his next transfer. That switch may come very soon.

1908.nl knows that there is ‘enormous interest’ in Sebaoui. Several Eredivisie clubs are reportedly interested in his signature. “Sebaoui is expected to first join the Feyenoord selection in the preparation for the 2024/2025 season, but an outgoing permanent transfer is anything but ruled out after that.” Sebaoui trained with Feyenoord during a number of international matches this season and even played practice matches on behalf of the Rotterdam club.

It is currently unknown which Dutch clubs want to take over Sebaoui. The Gazet van Antwerpen reported last winter that the Moroccan Belgian has also come into the spotlight at the Danish Viborg FF. Most likely, Sebaoui still enjoys foreign interest.

Sebaoui spoke to RTV Rijnmond last month about his contact with Feyenoord. “There is a lot of contact. I get calls almost every day to ask how things are going and how I feel. I am of course from Feyenoord, so it is also their duty to know how I feel. Things are going very well at FC Dordrecht now and I’ll see what will happen in the summer.”

In addition to Sebaoui, mercenaries Antef Tsoungui, Shiloh ‘t Zand and Korede Osundina will also return to Feyenoord next summer. Tsoungui and ‘t Zand in particular have made an impressive contribution to Dordrecht’s good season. In the coming month, the foursome will first participate in the Kitchen Champion Play-offs with their temporary employer.
