Empowering Athletes: ASU Law Program Trains MLB Players in Sports Law and Business

Educate and empower athletes

Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law launched the Executive Education program for Major League and Minor League Baseball to train athletes to understand the law and the contracts under which they operate. This eight-week course was created by the Allan “Bud” Selig Sports Law and Business Program, with in mind the American legal system that many foreign-born players must follow. It will be taught in Spanish. Players who complete the course will learn how to negotiate their contracts, improve their careers and improve themselves with this flexible opportunity tailored to their schedules.

Learn more about the organization you work for and understand your rights from a sports law perspective.
