Elisa Baldo Named Camposampierese Athlete of the Year

BORGORICCO (PADUA) – Elisa Baldo 2022 world archery champion in the 3D specialty and Italian champion in the campaign specialty and in the 3D class was proclaimed Camposampierese athlete of the year. The 35-year-old athlete resident in the municipality of Borgoricco won the top step of the podium at the world championships which took place last year in Terni. The archer from Padua is employed by the amateur archers company Decumanus Maximus.

The awards ceremony took place at the Aldo Rossi theater as part of the 13th edition of the Sports Gala, the event organized by the sports councilors of the ten municipalities of the federation. Practicing sports in the Camposampierese is an essential moment for individual well-being and social development. In previous editions, more than 260 athletes, managers and clubs were awarded, proving that sport is an important value for this area.” During the evening, two athletes, clubs or managers from each Municipality of the Federation who distinguished themselves last year were also awarded. The Municipality of Borgoricco recognized Aurora Ongarato and Giuseppe Celi as worthy of praise; for Campodarsego the first men’s volleyball team and the first football team; for Camposampiero Vittoria Checchinato and Silvano Mamprin and for Loreggia Guglielmo Mason and Lisa Volpato. As regards the Municipality of Massanzago, the athletes Leonardo Donola and Gianni Targhetta and others were awarded.
