Eight teams participated in the Creole draft

The Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) held the National Player Draft this Thursday so that the 18 competing franchises could take pieces from the teams that will not participate this season.

The order of selection was made according to the SPB 2023 Position Table, starting with the team that placed last. Along these lines, Toros de Aragua had the first choice and acquired the services of José “Grillo” Vargas.

The former captain of the national team played 26 games in the 2023 knockout phase with Guaros, averaging 11.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks.

Seven other teams took advantage of their chance and made the following choices:

Frontinos was the only one who made a second choice with forward Eduardo Ríos, who in 2023 played with Gigantes.
