Almost 450 judoka, women and men from all over Germany took part in the German individual judo championship for the over-30s. The venue was the Ringarena at the Nürburgring. Edgar Haser from TSV Lindau faced his opponents in the age group 70 to 74 years in the weight class over 100 kilograms and ultimately achieved second place.
Win against Sterlinsky, defeat against Arndt
The Lindau defeated Lothar Sterlinsky from the Ueckermünde Judo Club with Ippon for a counter throw. He suffered a defeat against Herbert Arndt, 1st Judo Club Worms, and thus became German runner-up.
