SAARBRÜCKEN (ANP) – Robin Tabing and Selena Piek have reached the last four of the mixed doubles at the European Badminton Championships. Tabling and Piek defeated the Spanish couple Rubén García/Lucía Rodríguez in the quarter-finals in the German city of Saarbrücken with convincing numbers. Within half an hour it became 21-10 21-11.
In the semi-final battle, the Dutch duo may face Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje. The Danish couple is placed first.
Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen reached the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles. They were far too strong for Julia Meyer and Leona Michalski from Germany: 21-13 21-8. Jille and Seinen are placed fourth.
