Although the singles competition was over for Zverev on Thursday, things are still going really well in the doubles. In an exciting match and with a confident double performance, Zverev and the Brazilian Melo move into the final of the ATP 1000 Masters.

Zverev and Melo were unable to win the first set and lost it 6:7 (3:7) to Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo. But the German-Brazilian doubles didn’t let that discourage them and won the second set 7:5. The third set will be played in doubles as a match tiebreak. And this reflected the exciting nature of the match until the score was 7:7. In the end, however, Zverev and Melo managed to score three points in a row and were able to leave the field as the winning team. In tomorrow’s final they will face the two Belgians Joran Veilen and Sander Gille.

So far, Zverev has won two doubles titles. He won his first doubles title in Shenzhen in 2017 and his second in Beijing in 2019.
