Borussia Dortmund definitely wants to take fourth place in the Bundesliga. “It makes a difference for us whether we come fifth or fourth,” said central defender Nico Schlotterbeck before the game against direct rivals RB Leipzig on Saturday (3.30 p.m./Sky).

In fifth place, BVB is two points behind the Saxons. Due to the strong performance of the Bundesliga clubs in the European Cup, fifth place at the end of the season should also entitle them to take part in the premier class. “It will probably be enough, but it’s not certain yet,” said Schlotterbeck and added: “We lost in the first leg and want to win the second leg.”

Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel also encourages his teammates. “As long as we haven’t qualified for the Champions League, we can’t sit back,” said the Swiss.
