Didi Hamann’s assumption about FC Bayern Munich leaves people shaking their heads

The discussion as to why FC Bayern Munich has such major injury problems is in full swing. In this context, Stefan Effenberg criticized Didi Hamann’s assumption as nonsensical.

“To attribute this to the fact that they don’t train enough is complete nonsense,” said Effenberg in “One-two” on Sport1, reacting to a statement from Hamann.

After Kingsley Coman’s injury on Saturday, the 50-year-old said on Sky about the German record champions’ injury woes: “Something’s not right. Either they train too much or too little. My feeling is that they train too little. I have that I heard that too.”

Effenberg now argued against this: “If you have a rhythm with the Champions League, Bundesliga and national teams and therefore more or less continuous English weeks, then logically you can’t train as much.”

The 55-year-old suspects “unfortunate circumstances” and explained: “There are injury-prone players who have a lot to do with muscle injuries over the course of their career. But that has nothing to do with training.”
