Denver chose the quarterback from Oregon in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft

Quarterback Bo Nix became an NFL player.

The Denver Broncos invested the No. 12 overall pick in the first round of the 2024 Draft to draft the quarterback from the Oregon Ducks.

During his college career, Bo Nix played the first three years at Auburn and closed at Oregon the last two seasons. He is the only quarterback in history responsible for at least 55 touchdowns in two different programs.

In total he completed 1,286 passes for 15,352 yards for 113 touchdowns and 26 interceptions. In his last year with the Ducks he threw 45 touchdown passes.

Bo Nix is ​​one of three quarterbacks in history with 4,000 passing yards and a completion percentage of 75 percent or higher in a single season, along with Joe Burrow from LSU (2019) and Mac Jones of Alabama (2020).

Bo Nix was named Offensive Player of the Year in the Pac-12 and was elected to the All-Pac-12 first team in 2023, and also won the William V. Campbell Trophy, considered the ‘Academic Heisman’.

His completion percentage of 77.45 in the 2023 season is an NCAA record

Bo Nix did not perform physical tests at the NFL combine or during Oregon’s pro day.

Bo Nix was the sixth quarterback drafted in the first round, tying a record held by the first round of 983 and the 2004 seventh round, which also had six quarterbacks chosen.

This is the first time head coach Sean Payhton has taken a quarterback in the first two rounds of a draft.

Bo Nix joins a Broncos quarterback corps that includes Ben DiNucci, Jarrett Stidham y Zach Wilsonwho have combined for a 13-25 record as starters.
