Both the men’s and women’s Vuelta 2024 already know their jerseys

Santini and Unipublic have unveiled, during a presentation event in Madrid, the official jerseys that the leaders of the different classifications of La Vuelta 2024 and La Vuelta Femenina 24 by Carrefour.es will wear. In addition to the four leader’s jerseys, three kits dedicated to specific stages of the men’s race have also been revealed.

Unipublic, organizer of La Vuelta and La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es, and Santini Cycling have today presented the official jerseys of the leaders of the Spanish race, which will be run from August 17 to September 8, 2024, and the The Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es, which will take place from April 28 to May 5, starting in Valencia. In addition to the official jerseys, three kits designed by Santini and dedicated to three significant stages of La Vuelta were presented.

«A collaboration that reaches its eighth year, which we have established with La Vuelta and that confirms our constant commitment in the field of professional cycling, a commitment that today we celebrate by presenting the jerseys that will dress the champions of the 2024 edition of the Vuelta«commented Mónica Santini, CEO of Santini Cycling.

“These jerseys are the distinctive sign of La Vuelta and represent not only the four classifications, but also the culture, the cities and some of the emblematic climbs of this race,” added Javier Guillén, general director of La Vuelta.

The official jerseys of the 2024 edition of the Vuelta, designed and made in Bergamo at the Santini Cycling facilities, are the Red Jersey sponsored by Carrefour for the leader of the general classification, the Green Jersey with the Škoda logo for the best in the classification by points, the White Plenitude Jersey for the best young person, and the Polka Dot Jersey, sponsored by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, which crowns the best climber.

The official jerseys of La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es provided by Santini are La Roja, sponsored by Carrefour for the leader of the general classification, the Green Jersey with the Škoda logo for the leader of the points classification, the White Jersey of BienStar for the most combative runner and the Polka Dot Jersey, sponsored by the Young Sports Foundation, which the best climber will wear.

The commemoratives

In addition to the official leader’s jerseys, Santini creates kits every year, consisting of a jersey, bib shorts and accessories, dedicated to some stages of La Vuelta and designed for enthusiastic fans of the Spanish round.

The jersey has a classic cut and is very breathable. It’s made from a combination of micro-mesh fabrics and high-performance straight-cut sleeves. The bib shorts are made with Thunderbike Power compressive fabric. The lightweight, soft mesh straps allow for quick drying and maximum breathability. The bib shorts are equipped with a Foam Bio pad.

The Lisbon Kit is dedicated to the first stage of La Vuelta 24 and celebrates Lisbon with its distinctive symbols. The checkered print and the crow are inspired by the flag and coat of arms of the Portuguese city. The stopwatch pays tribute to the time trial stages, while the sun, the sardine and the boat symbolize the connection with the sea. The design also includes the pastels de nata, the seven hills of Lisbon and the Atlantic wind. In addition to the jersey and shorts, the line dedicated to Lisbon includes a cycling cap and a cotton t-shirt with special graphics.

The Cuitu Negru Kit celebrates the 15th stage of La Vuelta 24, paying tribute to the climb to Cuitu Negru. Classified as a Special Category, this climb represents one of the most challenging and spectacular challenges of the race. The jersey design reflects the surrounding landscape with colors drawn from the rocks and mountains to represent the toughness and majesty of this climb.

The Madrid Kit is a tribute to Kilometer Zero, the famous finishing point of the 21st and final stage of La Vuelta 24. The design is inspired by Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, one of the most emblematic and lively squares in Madrid, known for being the starting point of the Spanish road network. The design captures the essence of Madrid at night, with a color palette that evokes the twinkling lights of the buildings and signs that dominate the city’s night scene. In addition to the jersey and shorts, the line dedicated to Madrid includes a cotton t-shirt with special graphics.

Replicas of the leader’s jerseys and the three special kits can be purchased on the Santini website (www.santinicycling.com) and in specialized cycling stores around the world. The recommended retail prices will be €100, in the case of the jersey, €140 for the shorts, €19 for the cap and €40 for the t-shirt.
