Dallas Cowboys Begin Offseason Program with Eyes on Super Bowl Success

FRISCO, Texas – It’s been an offseason of reflection for the Dallas Cowboys, but it’s time to get back into the routine and work toward the goal of finally ending the team’s long Super Bowl drought.

It all officially begins on Monday, April 15, when players report to the facility to begin the start of the off-season conditioning program. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, there will be no practices yet, but players and coaches are allowed to have meetings, work out and rehab injuries.

The latter will be key for some very notable players, namely Trevon Diggs, DeMarvion Overshown, Mazi Smith, Luke Schoonmaker and John Stephens Jr.

Overshown, Stephens and Diggs are recovering from torn ACLs suffered in August and September, respectively, while Smith and Schoonmaker underwent shoulder surgery this offseason and are currently on track to be ready for training camp. in July.

Needless to say, most of the names mentioned above will be instrumental to the Cowboys’ success moving forward, with Overshown expected to quickly regain his ability once he’s healthy after missing a rookie season, while Diggs returns. with hopes of quickly reaching his usual first-team All-Pro ways.

Smith and Schoonmaker, the Cowboys’ first- and second-round picks, respectively, are expected to be able to make a big impact at their positions, especially Smith, since the Cowboys lost Johnathan Hankins to the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.

However, you also have to keep an eye on Stephens, considering the fact that he became a camp star last summer before suffering a season-ending injury.

With so much at stake for so many people in 2024, it is paramount that they make every minute of the offseason program count and, again, that has already begun.
