Crowning the Statistical Leaders of the 2023-24 NBA Regular Season

The 2023-24 regular season is now over and it is time to crown the statistical leaders of the just concluded year. From the king of scorers to the king of lost balls, we take a big look at those who dominated from October to April.

Points :

  • Luka Doncic : 33,9
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo : 30.4
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander : 30,1

No big surprise there since with the absence of Joel Embiid, no one was able to compete with Luka Doncic in scoring. The Slovenian thus won his first title as top scorer in the NBA. He succeeds the same Joel Embiid, who was the reigning double winner.

Rebounds:

  • Domantas Sabonis: 13.7
  • Rudy Gobert 12,9
  • Anthony Davis : 12,6

Here again, we start with a controlled victory from Domas, who reigned over the rankings throughout. The Lithuanian therefore performs the back-to-back since he was already the master of rebounders last season. His slew of double-doubles this season has served him well.

Assists :

  • Tyrese Haliburton : 10,9
  • Luka Doncic : 9,8
  • Nikola Jokic : 9

Even if he slowed down a little in the second part of the season, Tyrese Haliburton logically won the title of best passer in NBA 2024. The Pacers’ game depends greatly on the skill of their conductor and that of -He will still have a lot of work to do to help the yellows in the Playoffs. As for Luka, this is also a first career award.

Cons:

  • Victor Wembanyama: 3.6
  • Walker Kessler : 2,4
  • Brook Lopez : 2,4

First year in the NBA and already a title of best blocker for our national Wemby, while already being positioned as one of the favorites for the title of Defender of the Year. The Alien has a higher blocking average than the entire Heat roster. Looking forward to year II for the French nugget.

Interceptions :

  • De’Aaron Fox: 2.03
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander : 2
  • Matisse Thybulle : 1,7

This is the category that created the suspense in the home stretch. Just as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander appeared to be cruising to victory, he was passed on the gong by an ugly fox named De’Aaron Fox. The Kings leader overtook his rival in the last game to offer Sacramento a second winner in the statistical categories. It is also a first victory among pickpockets for Fox.

Shooting percentages (overall):

  • Daniel Gafford : 72,5
  • Rudy Gobert : 66,1
  • Ivica Zubac: 64.9

While he chased down Wilt Chamberlain several times with flawless shooting, Daniel Gafford concluded this 2023/24 season with the best efficiency in the NBA. Rather logical since he mainly takes shots very close to the basket or on alley-oops. We must nevertheless give back to Daniel what belongs to Gafford, he did the job.

3-point percentages:

  • Grayson Allen : 46,1
  • Luke Kennard : 45
  • Mike Conley : 44,2

But what a season of nastiness from Grayson Allen! How many 3-point shots, how many bombs from the parking lot? A lethal weapon for Phoenix and the Cactus will really need it because there is something heavy coming in the first round of the Playoffs.

Lost balloons:

  • Luka Doncic : 4
  • Victor Wembanyama: 3.7
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo / LeBron James : 3.4

Here too a little change since Trae Young did not play enough matches to be eligible. It is therefore Lulu Doncic who ends up at the top of the bad students with ball in hand. An evil that we will easily forgive as the miracle amazes us night after evening.
