Copa Sudamericana Final Confirmed to be Played in Paraguay’s Asunción

The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, confirmed on his social networks that the final of the Copa Sudamericana will be played in Paraguay, more precisely in the city of Asunción.

“Headquarters confirmed! The city of Asunción, located in the heart of South America, will once again host the South American Cup Final that will have its exciting outcome in Paraguay,” indicated the leader.

Asunción had already hosted it in 2019, when the final was played between Colón de Santa Fe and Independiente del Valle, which ended with the consecration of the Ecuadorian team. On that occasion, the stadium chosen had been General Pablo Rojas, in Cerro Porteño.

Boca, Racing, Argentinos Juniors, Lanús, Defensa y Justicia and Belgrano de Córdoba are the Argentine teams participating in the competition and that could get a place in the defining match.

The grand final of the Copa Sudamericana will be on November 23, according to what Conmebol published on social networks. The stadium has not yet been announced because it could be modified to an alternative venue, depending on the finalist teams.

On the other hand, Domínguez also confirmed that Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Bolivia, will host the final of the Copa Sudamericana in 2025.
