Indonesian national team defender Justin Hubner gave sharp comments to hosts Qatar after the U-23 National Team lost controversially in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup, Monday (15/4).
The Indonesian U-23 national team lost painfully, 0-2, to Qatar in the opening match in Group A of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
A number of controversial decisions by the referee from Tajikistan, Nasrullo Kabirov, played a role in Indonesia’s defeat.
Not only that, Indonesia also complained about Qatar’s service as host. One of them was when Garuda Muda was late arriving at the stadium because he felt he was being invited to go around first.

The various controversies that occurred in the Qatar vs Indonesia U-23 match invited reactions from many parties, one of which was the Red and White Team supporters.
Indonesian netizens not only invaded the social media accounts of the Qatar Football Federation, but also the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as a form of protest.
Apart from that, PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir stated that he would send a letter of protest to the AFC because of referee Nasrullo Kabirov’s controversial decisions.
