Formally and procedurally, everything was (probably) perfectly fine. Even the judges’ communication with the players was clear and understandable, but still, more than 14 thousand people in the O2 Arena could feel like they were in the court of a deranged king from the Midnight Kingdom, who in The Proud Princess “revokes what he revoked and promises what he promised”. Twice, a large part of them rejoiced at the equalizing goal, which was not actually there. And it’s a great pity that, unlike the actors on the ice and the TV viewers, she didn’t get a proper explanation – as happens in the NHL, for example – and could feel wronged.
