One of the most important national youth Judo competitions took place on Saturday 13 April 2024 at the Pattinodromo in Pescara – while the twin competition was taking place in Veneto – the first stage of the Under 15 circuit called “Trofeo Italia”.
A tense competition, with 369 athletes competing representing 118 clubs.
In the race were the Collatino rookies, Gabriele Pasquini, Alessio Trovarelli and Anas Sehairi in the morning who, due to their inexperience and despite some interesting tests, did not achieve any appreciable positions.
The more experienced and prepared girls, Ludovica Porro and Greta Falcetta, did not disappoint expectations and in fact won first and second place respectively.
The surprise came at the end of the day, when the Collatino SSD BLU 3000 was called to the top step of the podium for the result obtained in the women’s classes.
The coach Beatrice Malagodi, naturally satisfied with the club’s result, focused above all on her young athletes, commenting with a warning to young athletes: “the girls were very good but the constant commitment is the most important thing, Greta and Ludovica in the last two years they have prepared practically every day to start their adventure in competitive sport well… and now – as is right – they are starting to reap the fruits of their tenacity.”.
