Challenging Judo Course Preps Participants for Upcoming Exams

The course last weekend was once again a real challenge for the participants and the teaching team before the upcoming exams. A variety of topics were on the program. Proper warming up, energy provision, the club, but also the methodology of developing techniques such as Sankaku and choking in Ne-waza, as well as standing techniques such as. B. Ura-nage or Ko-uchi-makikomi.

As part of the discussion of the requirements for obtaining the 1st Kyu, the topic of individual combat concepts presented a demanding challenge in relation to the basic combat concept and in comparison to the topic of complex action. This meant that topics such as technology acquisition and technology application training, as well as corresponding forms of exercise, were once again in focus.

For the examination candidates in the age range from 16 to 55 years old, with very different previous experiences and skills and currently still in the graduation range from 2nd Kyu to 1st Dan, this grouping of topics was a high level of performance that demanded a lot from them.

In addition to this demanding content, the immediate preparation for the exam in theory and practice was of course a very important focus, which everyone faced with great commitment. This wasn’t easy, as illness and scheduling conflicts caused problems for both the participants and the teaching team. Ultimately, the team of on-site speakers led by Jan Schröder and Martin Reißmann, working closely with Mathias and Michael Zapf, managed to ensure good training conditions again. The commitment of the participants was particularly required when working in small groups. Another positive effect here is that judoka, who as licensed trainers used this training for personal further training, contributed their experience and skills to this process.

On Sunday, the preparation for the theory test under the proven leadership of Jan Schröder in a special format was once again an effective highlight that certainly ensured success!

After successful participation in the training, you can apply on April 20th. In Strausberg, eight female and 17 male judoka from a total of 14 clubs in the state of Brandenburg took the test to become trainer C for popular sports.
