The “Domenico Dadina Trophy” was awarded to the “A. Costa” of the comprehensive institute 6
The municipal phase of the games took place on Thursday 11 April at the “Romeo Galli” Municipal Stadium Athletics Student Sports Games reserved for lower secondary schools, organized by the Sports Department of the Municipality of Imola with the precious collaboration of SACMI-AVIS Imola Athletics, the Sports Veterans, the Imola Judges Group and the support of numerous volunteers.
There were around five hundred children who, representing the schools, “Innocenzo da Imola”, “Valsalva”, “Sante Zennaro”, “Andrea Costa”, “Orsini” and “San Giovanni Bosco”, challenged each other on the five disciplines foreseen (speed 80 m sprint, 800 m long distance, high jump, long jump, shot put) as well as in the relays.
At the end of the races, awards were given and the “Domenico Dadina Trophy” was awarded, created to remember our friend and colleague “Dado”, who passed away in 2015, who for many years was the heart of the Sports office with the his commitment and his passion. The award was presented by sister Deanna Dadina and by mayor Marco Panieri to the “A. Costa” of the comprehensive institute n. 6, which was overall better in all disciplines.
The event took place in an atmosphere of fairness and friendliness and was a valid opportunity for the kids to experience the positive aspects of healthy and fair sporting competition.
