Around thirty members of the archery section of the COLSG (Olympic Circle of Laigné – Saint-Gervais) met recently to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club.
The afternoon began with the coat of arms competition: “ All archers perform a first series of shots, i.e. ten rounds of three arrows into the targets corresponding to their level. » explains Cécile Bertin, president of the club. The winners: recurve bow Maxence Vimare-Onillon (under 21) and Julien Adet (adult); Steven Richard compound bow.
The best arrow test was also on the program with the Belinois challenge: “ Rather than aiming at a usual target, you must aim at a hole dug in an iron plate. If the arrow misses there is a good chance that it will break and this becomes more complicated as we move to lower holes » .
In order to reward the archers who participated in the regional and national championships, a patron made a donation of €500 to the club “ in the form of vouchers at France Archerie in Le Mans ».
