Celebrating 20 Years of Judo with Almost 400 Athletes in San Severino

Almost 400 judo athletes participated in the “two days” organized in San Severino by the ASD “J-Etic” of master Boris Giachetta for his 20 years of activity. They came to the Settempedano tatami from all over the Marche and even from outside the region, in particular Umbria and Emilia Romagna, but also Liguria and Tuscany. On the first day, which took place in the “Toti Barone” gym, an internship was held with the Japanese master Yhsho Oshima, third Dan and technician from the Tsukuba University of Tokyo. The seminar – of a high preparatory level – was attended by young and experienced black belts. On the second day, the first “Settempeda Trophy” took place at the “Albino Ciarapica” palas, a youth competition reserved for the boys, rookies A and B and cadet categories. Then, in the afternoon, a non-competitive event open to children aged 4 to 10 took place. Many registered participants, accompanied by family members who packed the stands of the palas. Among them, there were also the many students of “J-Etic”, the San Severino dojo which, after the 2016 earthquake, moved to Taccoli. Mayor Rosa Piermattei and councilors Paolo Paoloni and Jacopo Orlandani brought the city’s greetings to the event. Applause for all the participants and satisfaction for master Giachetta who in recent years has introduced judo to many boys and girls not only from San Severino, bringing them closer to a discipline which, even before competition, looks at psycho-physical training of the young person in a sporting context.
