Carlos Sainz Jr. was one of the VIP guests on Friday at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters. The Ferrari Formula 1 driver went to the tournament facilities in the Principality of Monaco in the company of his girlfriend, model Rebecca Donaldson.
The 29-year-old from Madrid took advantage of one of his days of rest before the next Grand Prix in which he will compete, in Shanghai (April 19 to 21) to watch some top-level tennis and, in the process, meet two of the best players in the world, number one, Novak Djokovic, and number two, Jannik Sinner.
Sainz took a photo and chatted with them. One of those conversations, the one he had with Sinner, was captured by the social networks of the Monegasque Masters 1,000. “Did you see any tennis?” Jannik asked him. “I was here, seeing you, right behind you, cheering you on,” answered the Spaniard. “Thank you very much and congratulations (for his victory in Albert Park),” replied the Australian Open champion, who declared himself a big fan of F1. “I follow him a lot and we are trying to go to a race. If things go badly for me at Roland Garros, which I hope not, I will go,” he concluded.
