We explain the criteria for the tournament that will start in the United States in the summer of 2025. We make a point to understand the clubs already qualified and those still hoping to get a ticket to participate

EPA 1 of 25 The 32-team Club World Cup will be played from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the United States (and will be held once every four years). Eight groups of four teams each will be drawn, the top two from each group will advance. From the eighth knockout matches to the final.

Here is how the participants will be divided:
UEFA (Europe): 12 posts
CONMEBOL (South America): 6 places
AFC (Asia): 4 places
CAF (Africa): 4 places
CONCACAF (Central and North America): 4 places
OFC (Oceania): 1 post
Host country: 1 place

Europe qualifies the winners of the last 4 editions of the Champions League, plus the best 8 by Champions ranking (not UEFA, otherwise Roma would have had a place): each country cannot have more than 2 teams, unless they are all winners of the tournament.
