Boston Celtics Sign Point Guard Jrue Holiday to New Four-Year, $135 Million Contract

The Boston Celtics are keeping a top performer: point guard Jrue Holiday is signing a new four-year, $135 million contract.

Jrue Holiday only came to the Boston Celtics via trade from the Milwaukee Bucks last offseason, but is already an integral part of the strongest team this NBA season.

The 33-year-old has therefore earned a contract extension: The Celtics have given the playmaker a new four-year contract worth $135 million. This is reported by “ESPN”.

Milwaukee Bucks at Orlando Magic, the last game day of the regular season – Sunday from 6:45 p.m. live on P7 MAXX, in the live stream in the ran app and on Joyn!

However, the option in his previous contract to extend one year for $37.3 million has been canceled. The C’s are thus tying up an important player who, alongside Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White, is part of Boston’s ideal lineup.

Holiday is only the fourth player to sign a $100+ million contract at such an advanced age. LeBron James, Al Horford and Steph Curry beat him to it.

Holiday is averaging 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists this season and is hitting 43 percent of his three-pointers, a career high.
