Boston Celtics Clinch Best Regular Season Record in NBA

The last NBA night tells us that the Boston Celtics are the best team in the League, at least in the regular season. Joe Mazzulla’s team is now sure of having the best seasonal record thanks to the clear success against Oklahoma City Thunder per 135-100, rising to 60-16 with six games still to play: no one like them with Minnesota, Denver and OKC no longer able to catch them. A run in the last quarter was decisive at 42-17, 74 points from the trio Porzingis (27+12)-Tatum (24)-Brown (23).

Behind Boston, to the east it’s a pretty chaotic situation. Surprising home loss for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Memphis Grizzlies, among the worst in the league but driven by Jaren Jackson Jr’s 35; for Antetokounmpo and his associates, the Doc Rivers treatment does not seem to have brought too many benefits. And the contenders for their second place stand out: i Cleveland Cavaliers they fail to reach the goal by losing away from home against the Phoenix Suns (40 for Booker and 32 for Durant), while Paolo Banchero’s 32 drag Orlando to a 108-117 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans (third knockout in a row): second place is two games away for the Magic.

Important success also for Atlanta, who with Jalen Johnson’s triple double (28 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists) locks up the play-in place by overcoming the Detroit Pistons in a wild tanking version (outside both Cunningham and Fontecchio) but finding an unexpected protagonist Malachi Flynn, a player with just over five averages and who scores his career high at 50, while i Brooklyn Nets they play a trick on them Indiana Pacers per 115-111, currently seventh with five games to play but with New York and especially Miami still within reach. Also because in the first playoff game they would currently face the Philadelphia 76ers, and Joel Embiid is back in vogue…

In the west the widespread success of the Minnesota Timberwolves over the derelict Toronto Raptors, who have nothing more to ask of the season but taking the worst defeat in the history of the franchise for 133.85. Another usual, great game from Anthony Edwards with 28 points and 5/12 three-pointers, Luka Garza also found satisfaction from the bench with 16 points in less than 10 laps of the clock. Third victory in a row for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are struggling more than expected against the Washington Wizards but they imposed themselves with the 25 points of LeBron James and the double double of 35-18 by Anthony Davis, while in the success of the slums of the Portland Trail Blazers sugli  Charlotte Hornets comes one of the first convincing performances from third overall pick Scoot Henderson: 22 points, 10 assists and 9/16 from the field.
