Blume Judo Club Excels at Autonomous Judo Championship

The judokas from the Blume Judo Club of Ponferrada participated last weekend in the Autonomous Judo Championship in the Children and Cadet categories. Held at the Pilar Fernández Valderrama Pavilion in Valladolid, the Bercian club attended with five representatives in each category, winning a total of 6 medals, 3 bronzes, 2 silvers and a gold that gives them a place for the Spanish Championship.

The individual results obtained are the following:

CADET:
• 73 kg – Marcos Gómez Tapia. He fell short of the medals. Marcos Pordomingo Olano reached the final, where he failed to overcome his opponent, achieving runner-up status.
• 81 kg – Hugo González Gutiérrez also achieved second place in his category.
• 90 kg – Iván Fernández Alonso rose to third place on the podium in his first competition at the regional level.
• 90 kg – Unay Fernández de Sousa also achieved third place.

CHILDREN:
• 42 kg – Álvaro Vázquez Diéguez achieved a hard-fought third place.
• 50 kg – David Martín Díaz could not get past the first round and was unable to repechage.
• 55 kg – Hugo Martínez Reguera was narrowly unable to fight for the medals. Andrés Vela García is proclaimed champion after a great competition, managing to qualify for the Spanish Championship.
• 60 kg – Pablo Martínez Aldomar fell in the first round and had no repechage options.
