Blois wins in Cholet in Betclic Élite and regains hope

Promised for Pro B for several weeks, ADA Blois came back to life on Saturday at the opening of the 30th day of Betclic Élite. After eight losses in a row since January 28, Armel Traoré’s partners (10 points, 10 rebounds) won in Cholet (80-71), clearly losing momentum with a third defeat in a row against a difficult class.

Cholet led by sixteen points in the first half then by thirteen in the second (58-45). But the light went out at La Meilleraie in the fourth quarter. Laurent Vila’s players (20 lost balls) conceded an incredible 19-0 in eight minutes before putting an end to the bleeding. But the damage was done, Blois took up to ten points in advance before maintaining nine lengths in the end. ADA (13 of 31 from three points) scored 27 points in the final quarter.

With this ninth victory, the ADA, still 17th in the ranking, keeps the flame in the race to avoid relegation with four days remaining, while awaiting the result from Gravelines-Roanne this Saturday (6:30 p.m.).

Cholet, on the other hand, misses an opportunity to solidify its place in the top 8 qualifying for the final phase.
