The Pelicans’ victory as visitors against the Kings had a somewhat bizarre ending, when with 46 seconds left and the winner defined (135-123), a spectator threw a chicken wing onto the court.
The strongest theory is that it was intended for Zion Williamson, due to the Pelicans star’s constant weight problems… Even so, his 31 points were decisive for the victory, as were CJ McCollum’s 31 (9 triples) and Trey Murphy’s 27.
With this victory, the New Orleans Pelicans get closer to the playoffs and condemn the Californians to the play-in.
