A convincing victory in the semi-finals of the German Cup was won on Wednesday by the Bundesliga leader Bayer Leverkusen, who beat the second Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf 4:0 (3:0).
Florian Wirtz scored two goals for the winners, while Jeremy Frimpong and Amin Adli each scored accurately.
The Leverkusen team has not lost a single match this season and has extended its unbeaten streak to 40 matches.
In the final of the German Cup, Bayer’s opponents will be another club from the second Bundesliga, Kaiserslautern, which beat the third-ranked Saarbrucken 2-0 (0-0) in the semi-finals on Tuesday.
