Badminton duo Robin Tabing/Selena Piek just missed out on a place in the finals in the mixed doubles of the European Championships.
The Dutch couple lost 25-23 21-23 21-18 to Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje from Denmark, who are seeded first in Saarbrücken.
With their semi-final place in Germany, Tabling and Piek secured participation in the Paris Olympic Games, it was announced on Thursday.
Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen still have a chance of a place in the final battle in the women’s doubles. They will play in their semi-final on Saturday against Margot Lambert and Anne Tran from France.
