ATP ranking: Jannik Sinner world number 2 after his title in Miami, Ugo Humbert 14th

Change of face in Novak Djokovic’s mirrors. The Serbian, world number 1, is now pursued by Jannik Sinner in the ATP rankings published on Monday. The winner of the Masters 1000 in Miami on Sunday overtook Carlos Alcaraz by a short head (8710 points against 8645) and reached the best ranking of his career. His victim in the final, Grigor Dimitrov, is the other big winner of the week in the world top 20. The Bulgarian is now 9th and climbs three places to the detriment of Hubert Hurkacz, Alex de Minaur and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

On the French side, Ugo Humbert gained a place despite his exit in the third round in Florida. The left-hander takes advantage of Tommy Paul’s even earlier exit to overtake the American to 14th place in the world. Last change in the top 20: Ben Shelton (16th) doubles Karen Kachanov (17th). Fabian Maroszan and Tomas Machac, surprise quarter-finalists in Miami, achieved a respective good of 19 and 17 places and are now 38th in the world for the Hungarian and 43rd for the Czech.

Ten other French people are in the top 100: Adrian Mannarino (20th), Arthur Fils (37th), Gaël Monfils (45th, + 2 places), Arthur Cazaux (74th), Arthur Rinderknech (81st, + 1), Alexandre Muller (86th , – 1), Hugo Gaston (89th), Constant Lestienne (90th), Luca Van Assche (94th, – 14) and Corentin Moutet (99th, + 8). Van Assche fell 14 places by losing the points acquired during his Challenger title in San Remo in 2023. The young Frenchman played this year in Miami and lost from the start against Casper Ruud.
