In the fight for a place in the final on Saturday, the “Djoker” will face the winner of the game between the Frenchman Ugo Humbert and the Norwegian Casper Ruud. De Minaur won comfortably against Djokovic at the United Cup at the beginning of the year and thus equalized the score at 1-1.

“I suffered,” said Djokovic after the match, “but I’m happy about my progress.” He was not satisfied with the level of the duel: “Neither of us played at a good level, it then became a physical match.”

Sinner in the semi-final against Tsitsipas

In the second semi-final in Monaco there will be a duel between two players who had previously prevailed against German competitors in the round of 16. The world number two Jannik Sinner, conqueror of Jan-Lennard Struff, eliminated the Dane Holger Rune in three sets.

His next opponent is Stefanos Tsitsipas, who was the final stop for Olympic champion Alexander Zverev.

Stefanos Tsitsipas had few problems in the quarterfinals against Karen Khachanov.

The Greek, winner in Monte Carlo in 2021 and 2022, had less trouble in the 6:4, 6:2 against Karen Khachanov.
