AS Basket Shines: The Exceptional Rise of Clauzades College Sports Association

the essential The exceptional results of the Clauzades college sports association are confirmed. After climbing, badminton, futsal and volleyball, basketball shines in its turn.

In the district phase, the boys played three dates against the colleges of Saint-Sulpice, Gaillac and Graulhet. Saint-Sulpice held on more than the others but the young Vauréens emerged victorious.

During the departmental finals in Gaillac, the Castres package facilitated access to the title of champions of Tarn. For the academic finals, in Rodez, the young basketball players faced the colleges of Rodez and Caussade. After a very poorly contested first match against Caussade (won by more than 70 points), the start of the match against Rodez was tight but solutions were quickly found since they won with more than 40 points in advance.

At this stage, the Vauréens are academy champions… but they haven’t stopped there. During the interacademic finals in Tarbes, the stress began to be felt. Qualification for the French championships was being decided and the teams from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, Béziers and Tarbes also won.

The first match against Villeneuve-lès-Avignon was crucial. You had to earn it for the trust. It didn’t take long for the collective to get into place and leave no chance to the opponents, winning by 21 points. In the second match, the stress was the same but with the same outcome. Everything was smiling for the Vauréens: 23-point victory against Béziers.

Interacademic champions!

For the last match, it was the final against Tarbes which inflicted on the Tarnais three baskets to zero at the start of the match including two 3 points. But the players did not panic. They reorganize themselves, encourage each other and the final score was clear with over 26 points. They flew through their final thanks to a collective and unfailing solidarity. Always listening to the advice of the teacher or the young coach Mattéo who fulfilled his role with seriousness and maturity.

“What a journey! What a rise in power for all players without distinction! exclaims, happily, Christel Tauzies, physical education and sports teacher. Well done to Sam, our referee, who holds his matches firmly. I hope that the French championships will have such nice surprises in store for us. Getting to this stage is a big victory for AS Basket. A big congratulations to Mattéo, Noé, Timéo, Jules, Benjamin, Yanis, Ilan our players and Sam our referee. »
