Arthur Cazaux Sidelined for Three Weeks Following Injury: Eyes Return for Roland-Garros

Following his injury sustained in the first round in Barcelona on Monday, Arthur Cazaux will be sidelined for three weeks but should be back on his feet for Roland-Garros.

Since his magnificent adventure at the Australian Open and his beautiful tournament at home in Montpellier, bad luck seems to stick to Arthur Cazaux’s skin. After feeling unwell during the match in Miami, the Hérault player was injured during the first round in Barcelona.

In an innocuous race, he actually twisted his right ankle while passing the baseline, giving up in the process against the Italian Matteo Arnaldi.

Participation in Roland-Garros still planned

Following the examinations taken on Wednesday in Montpellier, and after the advice of several doctors, Arthur Cazaux will be away from the field for three weeks, according to our information. He will therefore miss the Madrid tournament and that of Rome, he who had high hopes for the start of the season on clay.

And for good reason, Roland-Garros is not that far away since the start of the tournament is scheduled for a little over a month, on May 26. Despite this setback, the Cazaux clan still has very good hopes of participating in the Porte d’Auteuil tournament, according to our information.
