Argentina’s Women’s Tennis Reaches New Heights with Three Players in Top 100

As in the men’s branch, Argentine women’s tennis is going through a great present as a result of the good results obtained by the national tennis players. The recent update of the WTA ranking brought great news that highlights this moment even more: there are three players located in the first 100 positions after almost two decades.

The consecration of Julia Riera, who won the bronze medal last year at the Pan American Games in Santiago, in the W75 in Chiasso allowed our country to once again appear in the forefront of the women’s circuit.

Thanks to this consecration, the woman born in Pergamino rose 18 places and is currently in 94th place. In addition to Riera, the other two tennis players among the best 100 in the world are: Nadia Podoroska (66th) and Lourdes Carlé (82nd).
