Antwerp FC Facing Financial Struggles: Players Set to Be Sold to Raise Funds

Financially, Antwerp FC does not seem to be doing very well. In any case, few positive stories emerge. Next summer a number of players will be sold to raise money.

We haven’t heard much positive about Antwerp’s financial situation lately. Recently the news came out that the chefs had stopped work for a while because they had not been paid for months.

Antwerp denies this news. The club would therefore simply expect to receive its professional license on Monday.

But that does not alter the fact that a number of players will leave this summer to bring in some money.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, George Ilenikhena in particular should provide a lot of money. He is on the list of many clubs in Europe and will almost certainly leave after this season.

The Great Old would like to make it an absolute record transfer. According to the newspaper, there is even talk of a transfer fee of 30 to 40 million euros.

But Ilenikhena is not the only one who will visit other places this summer. Mandela Keita, Jean Butez and Michel-Ange Balikwisha could also change clubs.
