The women’s sector of Alghero Basketball enters the heart of the sports season which saw all its teams as protagonists from the debutants, to the Under 13, Under 14 and Under 15 teams.
Pallacanestro Alghero has been committed for years to offering girls a growth path through an exciting sport like basketball.
SAP boasts a large number of girls born from 2009 to 2013 to participate in 5 championships with the youth categories Rookies, 2 Under 13 NBA JR, Under 14 and Under 15 teams.
The Under 15 group ranked 2nd in Sardinia, participates today in the Regional semi-finals which will be played in Alghero at the Gym in via Pacinotti. Great satisfaction for this group coached by Antonello Muroni and Vice Cristina Imbrea who ended the season with only 2 defeats losing only against Mercede who were candidates for the final title. The top 2 in Sardinia will participate in the concentration camps for admission to the National Final. The 1st °placed in Sardinia will compete in the concentration in Umbria and the 2nd in the Marche.
But all the other teams have so far achieved results:
the Esordienti group (born 2012-2013) closed the Interprovincial Tournament undefeated as did the Gazzelle group (born 2013-2014 and 2015) who had fun and enthusiasm. Thanks to the important news at Asd Pallacanestro Alghero with the agreement with the MeC Center. The contribution of the new sponsor, in fact, ready to bet on the new generations, will be very important for the development and growth of the corporate project. The MeC Center, a multi-specialist medical practice, qualified above all in the field of physiotherapy and osteopathy, a point of reference for the city of Alghero, it is committed to Pallacanestro Alghero 1986 for the 2023-2026 seasons as a sponsor of the mini-basketball sector and of the women’s Under 15 team. The Centre’s logo will therefore be on the shirts of the very young men and women and will accompany them in the many matches to be played during the season.
The Under 13 group (born 2011-2012) which this year, thanks also to the loan from Eleonora D’Alò’s B90, continues its wonderful journey in the U13 NBA JR Championship, the Bucks team is still undefeated, and with the same team participates in the Under 14 Regional Phase obtaining important results against teams one year older.
All this thanks also to the great availability and enthusiasm of the new all-female management: Silvia Oggiano, Battaglia M.Antonietta, Monica Casu and Pinna Patrizia, who have worked hard to obtain these splendid results which project Alghero Basketball up to the Under 15 categories Regional leaders.
