Acuña’s speed was vital for Atlanta’s victory

Ronald Acuña Jr. showed off his speed this Tuesday against the New York Mets. The one from La Sabana stole three bases in the Braves’ 6-5 victory over the metropolitans.

The National League MVP went 2-for-3 with three runs scored in this match and left his batting average at .256

In his first at-bat of the game, Acuña was hit by a pitch and then missed second base. Ozzie Albies then doubled and scored in the run.

In the fourth inning, the Venezuelan walked and repeated the dose by reaching second base safely. As if that were not enough, he also stole third in that same inning and then scored on the run.

Likewise, Acuña’s singles came in the third and sixth innings, completing 10 hits for the season.

Meanwhile, the outfielder has four stolen bases this season. It should be noted that the Venezuelan has just established his best record of thefts in 2023 with 73.
