In the week of World Autism Awareness Day, established by the UN to draw attention to the rights of people with autism spectrum syndrome and their families, the entire team and staff of Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù did visit to the Abilitiamo Autism Onlus association.
On the morning of Wednesday 4 April, the white and blue delegation went to Fecchio to visit the Cascina Cristina facility, the modern and innovative headquarters of the association which hosts a day center aimed at young adults with autism who still live with their families. At the end of the visit, the players met some of the guests and staff of the “community farm”, symbolically donating a signed t-shirt.
To confirm its support for the week dedicated to raising awareness of Autism, Pallacanestro Cantù will in turn host the staff and children of Cascina Cristina in the stands of PalaDesio in the match that will see Acqua S.Bernardo challenge Assigeco Piacenza, in program Sunday 7 April.
