The 52-year-old Irishman started his professional snooker adventure in 1991 and is one of the most experienced snooker players. However, after the defeat in the qualifying rounds, he announced his retirement, which means he will no longer take part in any competitions.
The main tournament will start in Sheffield on April 20. The final is scheduled for May 6. In addition to the defending champion Brecel, Ronnie O’Sullivan will also be a favorite.
