Four men were presented to an investigating judge this Friday in the investigation into the burglary of the Parisian goalkeeper’s home in July 2023.

Four men were presented to an investigating judge on Friday with a view to their possible indictment in the investigation into the burglary of the Parisian home of PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner, who had been assaulted, in July 2023 , AFP learned from a source close to the matter.

Among these four men, some were arrested in Paris and others taken from prison, where they were already incarcerated, said one of these sources.

On the night of July 20 to 21, 2023, around 3:00 a.m., a team of four people entered the Italian international’s apartment, on Avenue Montaigne, an upscale neighborhood in the 8th arrondissement of the capital.

At gunpoint, they kidnapped the guard and his partner and assaulted them, a police source reported.

The burglars stole watches, jewelry and luxury leather goods before fleeing. The damage was estimated at around 500,000 euros.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, 25, was slightly injured. Not his partner. In shock, both were taken to hospital.

The Paris prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation into organized theft with weapons, kidnapping by an organized gang and aggravated violence and entrusted the investigations to the brigade for the suppression of banditry.

In December 2023, PSG’s replacement goalkeeper, Alexandre Letellier, was kidnapped with his wife and their two young children during a burglary in the middle of the night at their home in Hardricourt (Yvelines).

The player’s wife, Chloé Letellier, was hit in the face and the couple were threatened with a knife while the four burglars tried to take money and jewelry from them. Three of them, including two minors, were arrested.

Several PSG players or ex-players have been victims of burglaries at their homes in recent years, generally targeted when they were at the stadium.
