2024 Chinese Wrestling National Championships: Competition Regulations and Information

The 2024 Chinese Wrestling National Championships will be held from May 12 to May 15, 2024 in Qian’an City, Hebei Province. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition, the competition regulations are now notified as follows:

5. Participants

Athletes over 18 years old, that is, born before December 31, 2006 (inclusive) and in good health, can register to compete.

6. Competition items

Men: 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 82kg, 90kg, 100kg, and over 100kg.

Women: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 82kg.

7. How to participate

(1) Participating units

All provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, industry sports associations, Beijing Sports University, and major sports colleges are required to register for the competition.

(2) Each participating unit is limited to one male and one female team. Each team can register up to 3 athletes per level.

(3) Each team can register 1 team leader, 2 coaches, and 1 team doctor. Teams without a leader or coach will not be allowed to participate.

(4) The participating unit registration form and team statistics form must be stamped with the official seal of the unit.

8. Competition Methods

(1) The Chinese Wrestling Competition shall adopt the “2020 Chinese Wrestling Competition Rules”.

(2) The competition adopts a single-elimination knockout format.

(3) Weighing: Athletes must weigh themselves at 16:00 the day before the competition of this level. The pre-weighing time is 15:30-16:00. Missing the specified weighing time will result in disqualification.

(4) Drawing lots: After the technical meeting confirms the athletes’ participation level, the drawing will be conducted.

(5) Athletes must bring their own wrestling uniforms and wrestling shoes (the same color or black wrestling shoes). Athletes must wear clothing that meets the competition requirements.

9. Admission Ranking and Rewards

(1) The top five admitted at each level (one winner each, two runners-up, two tied for third, four tied for fifth).

(2) If there are 4 to 5 participants, a single round-robin competition will be held and the top three will be admitted; if there are 3 or less participants, it will be an exhibition competition.

(3) The top three athletes will be awarded gold, silver, bronze medals and certificates, and the others will be awarded certificates.

(4) The organizing committee will select the “Sports Ethics” award for the 8 participating teams, set up the Outstanding Referee Award, and issue certificates of honor.

10. Participation payment standards and requirements

(1) The team leaders, coaches, athletes and staff of each participating team must pay a total of 1,800 yuan per person for participation fees and room and board expenses. No refunds will be given for late registration or early departure.

(2) The above fees must be paid in full at the time of registration, otherwise you will not be allowed to participate.

(3) The organizing committee is responsible for picking up and dropping off the sports teams at their own expense. The specific charging standards are as follows:

1. The price at Luanxian Station and Luanhe Station is 50 yuan/person.

2. Tangshan Station, Tangshan Sannihe Airport, and Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport, the price is 100 yuan/person (passenger car, if the total number of people is less than 20, the solution will be negotiated); 7-seater and 14-seater vehicle charter services are also available, and the cost is 1,100 yuan respectively. /vehicle and 1,600 yuan/vehicle, and 2,000 yuan/vehicle for other models of vehicles.

3. Beijing Daxing Airport, Beijing Capital Airport, Tianjin Binhai Airport or stations can provide 7-seat, 9-seat, and 14-seat vehicle charter services. The fees are 1,700 yuan/vehicle, 1,800 yuan/vehicle, and 2,300 yuan/vehicle respectively. Other models Vehicle costs 3,000 yuan/vehicle.

The above charges are for one way. If each team needs to reserve a vehicle at the pick-up station, they should contact the person in charge of the pick-up station in the competition area one week before the game, and the fees will be paid at the time of registration.

(4) Each participating team must check in after 8:00 on May 10 and leave before 12:00 on May 16. Those who check in early or leave late must arrange their own meals and accommodation at their own expense.

(5) In order to strengthen management and ensure safety, participants must stay in hotels designated by the conference for food and accommodation during the event.

(6) Charging method: The above fees must be paid on-site according to the actual number of people present when registering, by swiping the official card or scanning WeChat. In order to avoid problems such as complicated and time-consuming refund procedures, please try not to use transfer. If you really need to pay by transfer, please contact the payment contact person in advance.

(7) In order to ensure the smoothness of the competition, preparations for the conference are carried out in an orderly manner. The organizing committee will reasonably book hotels and arrange food and accommodation, as well as arrange vehicle transportation from the hotel to the competition area. After the registration of the participating teams, the participants will be carefully confirmed and will be registered on May 10th, the registration day. The participation deposit of 3,000 yuan will be paid directly to the registration office. In order to avoid problems such as complicated refund procedures and excessive time-consuming, please try to use cash, WeChat, Alipay and other methods. Each team did not violate the rules of the competition during the competition, and participated according to the final confirmed registration list (subject to the list of participating teams in the order book). If the team participates on time, the entire deposit will be refunded if no one is absent; if the registration fails to participate in the competition area, liquidated damages will be deducted for each absent person. 300 yuan is used as the cost of booking a hotel vehicle. Each team is required to strictly follow the requirements of the competition regulations and supplementary notices and complete the registration and payment procedures within the specified time to avoid affecting normal participation.

11. Punishment

(1) If an athlete commits any disciplinary violations such as using a fake ID card, impersonation, etc., upon verification, the following penalties will be imposed:

1. The athlete will be disqualified and banned from competition for three years, and the athlete’s disciplinary violations will be reported to the provincial and municipal sports bureaus.

2. Report and criticize the team leader and coach to his/her unit.

3. The team will be disqualified.

(2) If an athlete is unable to participate due to injury or illness, a certificate from the conference doctor must be issued and confirmed by the signatures of the team leader, coach and the athlete himself. Athletes are strictly prohibited from abstaining without reason during the competition. If it is verified that the athlete fails to apply for abstention in accordance with the regulations, the following penalties will be imposed depending on the circumstances:

1. Disqualification and competition results of one or both athletes.

2. Suspended from one to three years.

3. Notify the provincial and municipal sports bureaus of athletes’ disciplinary violations.

(3) If there is a phenomenon that the arbitration committee unanimously considers to be a flop during the competition, the qualifications and competition results of one or both athletes will be cancelled.

(4) If an athlete of one team advances without a fight due to an opponent’s abstention, he or she will not be admitted. Those who have been determined by the arbitration committee to have maliciously abstained from voting, resulting in a total of two games being promoted without a fight, are not within the scope of this article’s punishment.

12. Registration and check-in

(1) Registration

Each participating unit must send the electronic version and scanned copy of the competition registration form, the official seal of the unit, and the participating team statistics form to the Secretariat of the Chinese Wrestling Promotion Committee and the competition area of ​​the Wrestling Center of the State Sports General Administration before April 27, 2024. (2) Registration (qualification review)

1. Submit the original athlete registration form and participating team statistics sheet stamped with the official seal of the unit.

2. All participating athletes and coaches are required to bring their original second-generation ID cards (temporary ID cards are invalid) for qualification review. If an athlete does not have a second-generation ID card, he or she will not be able to participate normally.

3. In order to effectively protect the health and safety of each sports team, athletes must hold a physical examination report (including electrocardiogram, cardiac enzymes, etc.) from a national Class II-A medical department within one month of the competition date and the original and copy of the athlete’s personal accident and disability insurance certificate when registering. (A copy must be submitted to the organizing committee when registering) before you can participate. Players should take care of themselves for injuries during the competition, and the organizing committee will not bear relevant responsibilities. In the event of a major accidental injury, the organizing committee will actively take corresponding rescue measures, but will not assume legal and compensation liability.

4． An athlete can only register with one identity and can only represent one participating unit. Dual identity participation is prohibited.

5. If an athlete is found to have violated the regulations when it comes to his or her qualifications, his or her qualifications and competition results will be disqualified for individual events; for events involving two or more people, the entire team’s qualifications and competition results will be disqualified. In addition, relevant responsible persons and units will be punished in accordance with relevant regulations.

6． If an athlete (team) is disqualified and disqualified from the competition, the results of the completed competition will not be changed, and the canceled rankings will be filled in sequence.

(3) Each participating team must report the final confirmed levels of its registered participants to the conference arrangement team before 18:00 on May 10, 2024. Failure to do so will not allow participation.

(4) Athletes, coaches and staff from each participating unit must arrive at the competition area to report before 18:00 on May 10, 2024.
