The first call-up to the national team has arrived for Cristian Gabrielli, a very young talent from Asd Malaspina. The Apuan archer, who is only thirteen years old, will join the under 16 group of the Italian national team Compound to participate in the international competition which will take place in Bulgaria from 15 to 20 April. After winning the Targa World Championship title in 2023, Cristian was immediately included in the group of promising young people that the technicians of the Italian selection are keeping under observation.
The second place obtained at the 2024 Italian indoor championships in Pordenone, the high performance in the competitions in which he participated and the victory at the 2024 regional indoor championship paved the way for the young archer to be called up to the Compound National Under 16 team. At the basis of the excellent results obtained by Cristian there is undoubtedly his undisputed talent but also the excellent work done with his coach Luigi Andreoni and last but not least the full support of his father Matteo and mother Francesca, always ready to accompany him to training and the races on the FitArco calendar.
