The NBA icon contributed no less than 100 points to his Philadelphia Warriors’ 169:147 win against the New York Knicks. Never before, never since, has a single player in the history of the best basketball league in the world, which is certainly not lacking in exceptional talent, been able to threaten this brand.

At halftime of the memorable game, Chamberlain “only” had 41 points to his name, another 28 points were added in the third quarter and the fans demanded with every Warriors attack in the final quarter: “Give it to Wilt!
