Latvian basketball player Kristaps Porzingis will not be on the court in the early match tonight, according to the Boston Celtics, the National Basketball Association (NBA) team he represents.
“Celtics” was scheduled to have a home game tonight at 22:30 against the Golden State “Warriors”, however, he will miss the match due to a micro-injury. That means Al Horford and Xavier Tillman will have a bigger role at the long end.

Boston doesn’t need to push and field half-healthy players right now, given that the team is firmly in first place in the Eastern Conference and ranks first among absolutely all teams in winning percentage.
Porzingis is one of the key players of the “Celtics” this season, who several NBA commentators have called Boston’s the “x-factor”. Longtime Celtics fan and sports media icon Bill Simmons has repeatedly emphasized that whether or not the Celtics win a title this season will depend on Porzingis’ health.
The Latvian averaged 20.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 44 games this season. The data shows that he is one of the NBA’s best players at the bottom of the basket this season.
Porzingis is on track to finish with the BEST EVER mark in the post (1.375PPP), per Synergy (since 04-05).
He’s scored an absurd 1.53PPP when flashing in the middle of the paint. KP already posted some at the FT line in WAS. Yet it’s even more deadly within Boston’s starting-5. pic.twitter.com/8BA5hwWYpP
