On March 1st, 2024, a dangerous physical injury occurred in Heidelberg’s old town at around 11:55 p.m. An alert witness called police and reported that a group of about three men were hitting a person with a baseball bat. On site, the officers were able to determine through various witness examinations that it was a case of mutual bodily harm. One of the accused stated that he was beaten with an iron necklace due to an argument. The situation then became so serious that the accused was attacked with a stick-like object, which the caller perceived to be a baseball bat. The exact background to the fight and the respective actions of the people involved are the subject of the investigation conducted by the Heidelberg-Mitte police station. Those involved had minor injuries that did not require immediate attention.
