Vintage Rucanor Baseball Set: Leather Glove and Original Ball with History

Nice baseball set consisting 1 vintage leather baseball glove and an original used ball.
The baseball glove is nicely polished and has a great patina.
It’s a Rucanor trapeze model.
The ball is leather as well with traditional stitching.

Rucanor was founded on July 12, 1956 in Rotterdam The Netherlands by Jacob van Rijswijk.
The name is a combination of Rubber Canvas Organisatie, A trading company in canvas sportsshoes
In 1964 they launched a complete line of base ball products which were endorsed by the American base ball player Ron Fraser
He was born and raised in Nutley, New Jersey, Fraser was a three-sport letterman at Nutley High School where he graduated in 1953. He then attended Murray State College in Murray, Kentucky from 1953 to 1954. Later, he played baseball for Florida State University from 1954 to 1956 as a relief pitcher. At Florida State, he joined Theta Chi. He graduated in 1960.

He served in the United States Army for two years from 1957 to 1958. He was stationed in Germany and the Netherlands. He became manager of the Germany national baseball team after the 1958 European championship, and he managed the Netherlands until 1963. In 1963, Fraser took a head coaching job with the University of Miami, a school which did not offer its baseball players a scholarship.
