The ‘2024 Pyeongtaek City Council Chairman’s Flag Badminton Competition’ was successfully held at the Lee Chung Cultural Center Indoor Gymnasium on the 27th.
This tournament, in which about 450 people from 43 clubs registered with the Pyeongtaek City Badminton Association participated, was prepared to revitalize badminton in Pyeongtaek and promote harmony among club members. Pyeongtaek City Council Chairman Yoo Seung-young and Welfare and Environment Committee Chairman Kim Seung-gyeom attended and encouraged the participants.
In his speech at the event, Chairman Yoo said, “I hope this tournament will become a festival that promotes harmony and friendship among badminton players,” and added, “The city council will continue to strive to revitalize sports for daily life.”

Meanwhile, Pyeongtaek City Council is accepting reports from citizens until May 10th of next month prior to the administrative audit.
This administrative audit is scheduled to be conducted for 8 days from June 7 to June 14, and the subjects of citizen reports are illegal and unfair matters related to overall municipal administration, improvements and suggestions for major policies and projects, cases of budget waste, and citizen complaints. Matters that infringe on an individual’s privacy due to inconveniences, matters related to ongoing trials or cases under investigation, matters that may be personal attacks or false or defamatory matters are excluded.
The reported content will be transferred to the relevant standing committee and used as reference material for administrative audits, and the results will be notified to the informant by text or email after the regular meeting ends.
Participation can be made through a variety of methods, including the City Council website (Open Forum → Citizen Report for Administrative Affairs Audit), email, visit, and postal mail, and the confidentiality of the informant and the reported content is guaranteed.
